As with almost all live theatre, up to and including Broadway, Pontiac Theatre IV is waiting for the pandemic to ease and vaccinations to be completed so we can get back to providing live theatre to Oakland County.  We are planning to begin producing a full season beginning in late summer or early fall and on our normal season schedule.  At least that is our hope.  We still have a number of shows that were to be included with the end of the 2019-20 season and all of the 2020-21 season that have producers and directors in place and will be going forward in to 2021-22 season.  These include:

  • Macbeth  – Directed by Steven M. Cunningham
  • Shrek, Jr. – Directed by Laura Johns
  • The Children’s Hour – Shane Snider
  • The Outsiders – Directed by Sean Harbert
  • Broadway Revue, Jr. – Laura Johns and Daina Schippers

The Board of Directors is still meeting and conducting what little business we have at the time, and will continue to do so.  We are also watching our spending closely.  As most members know, we have lost all of our fundraisers (Poker Nights and the Ren Fest), plus ticket sales.  We are ok financially now, but we are being very careful with our spending.

MEMBERSHIP POLICY DURING COVID

The Board of Directors has decided that all persons who were members of Theatre IV on March 12, 2020 have had their membership frozen until we are able to go back to doing shows.  To thank our members, we have decided that all who were members on March 12 will have a renewed one year membership from the date of our first audition when we are able to resume productions.

We will keep you posted with information through Facebook and the website.
