- Rock of Ages: The Musical (February-March 2024)– Big egos, hair, and big bands come alive with PTIV with this hilarious musical that has rocked the world for over 10 years. Rock of Ages is a thrilling musical that takes place in the 1980s on LA’s Sunset Strip. The story follows Sherrie, a small-town girl, and Drew, a city boy, who are both pursuing their dreams of becoming famous rock stars. Along the way, they face many challenges, including the corrupt owner of the Bourbon Room, where they both work and the arrival of a German developer who wants to tear down the Sunset Strip. The musical features classic 80s rock hits from bands like Journey, Bon Jovi, and Poison, and the live performances will have you singing and dancing along. With themes of love, ambition, and perseverance, Rock of Ages is an uplifting and nostalgic musical that will have you leaving the theater feeling like a rock star yourself. Directed by: Maria Fernandez – Ahola
- Holmes and Watson (May 2024)– Jeffery Hatcher takes Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic characters and put them in an exciting mystery in this gripping play that will keep you guessing til the very end. Sherlock Holmes is dead. Or so it is assumed. The world knows the great detective went over the falls at Reichenbach with his nemesis Professor Moriarty. But as Holmes’ body was never retrieved, a number of frauds, fakes, and charlatans have come forward since to lay claim to his identity, and it falls to Dr. Watson to disprove them. Then a telegram arrives informing Watson that three men, each claiming to be Holmes, have been committed to a remote asylum off the coast of Scotland. Now Watson must discover if one of the madmen is the real Sherlock Holmes. Directed by: Jim Pike
- Harvey (June 2024)– Pontiac Theater IV finishes off the season with a production of Mary Chase’s classic comedy. Harvey is a heartwarming play that tells the story of Elwood P. Dowd and his imaginary friend, Harvey, a 6-foot-tall rabbit. Elwood’s sister, Veta, worries that Harvey is affecting her social status and decides to have him committed to a sanitarium. In a hilarious turn of events, Veta ends up being mistaken as the one who needs to be committed. The situation becomes chaotic as the sanitarium staff tries to determine who is truly in need of help. Throughout the play, Elwood’s kind and charming personality win over everyone he encounters, including the skeptical psychiatrist who eventually believes in Harvey’s existence. This play is a delightful exploration of the power of acceptance and kindness towards others, no matter who they are or what they believe in, even if it means having an imaginary friend like Harvey. Directed by: Sean Harbert
